Guiding Recovery.
Building Futures.

The Transition doesn't end at treatment - it begins here.

Our Mission & Vision

At Twelve And Trade Foundation Inc we’re a nonprofit partnering with sober living and treatment programs to bridge the gap into real life. Through mentorship, guidance, and career opportunities, we walk alongside men and women in recovery as they step into stability and strength. The next step after treatment. The transition starts here.

We believe recovery and work ethic go hand in hand. Twelve and Trade creates pathways for individuals to rebuild their lives, while giving businesses access to loyal, hardworking people eager to contribute. Together, we can turn recovery into opportunity.

Who We Are

Twelve and Trade is a nonprofit program designed to bridge the gap between recovery and real life. We support individuals who have completed drug and alcohol treatment programs and are ready to rebuild their lives with purpose. The “Twelve” represents our foundation in recovery, accountability, and personal growth, while the “Trade” represents career development, job training, and long-term stability.

Through mentorship, daily accountability, and professional guidance, we help each participant develop the discipline, skills, and mindset needed to thrive both personally and professionally.

Why Partner With Us

Partnering with Twelve and Trade means being part of real, measurable change. By employing or mentoring our graduates, your business:

Donate & Make An Impact

At Twelve and Trade™, every contribution directly fuels the transition from treatment into real life. Your support makes recovery sustainable by funding:

  • Housing & Stability — short-term housing stipends that give men and women the time to establish steady footing after treatment.

  • Tools & Training — covering the cost of trade tools, safety equipment, certifications, and job site mentorship.

  • Family Support Programs — workshops, coaching, and resources to strengthen families walking alongside loved ones in recovery.

  • Mission Work & Volunteer Service — coordinated community projects that keep recovery grounded in humility, service, and purpose.

  • Mentorship & Guidance — one-on-one support that provides accountability, encouragement, and real-world navigation.

Every dollar helps bridge the gap — turning recovery into long-term stability, purpose, and opportunity.

Daniel Ross

Executive Director, Twelve and Trade™

“When I first walked into the Salvation Army, I didn’t think I belonged there. I told myself I wasn’t like the others. But the truth hit me quickly — I was no better, and no worse, than any other addict. That experience changed my life.

It taught me humility and work ethic. I learned what it meant to put in a hard day’s work, to show up and give my best effort — not for money, not for recognition, but because doing what was right in front of me gave me a sense of dignity. That consistency built me up in ways nothing else could.

The challenge comes when the program ends. You graduate, you feel amazing, you’ve got the certificate — and then reality hits: no job, no home, no car, no career path. That’s where so many of us stumble. It’s easy to nosedive without someone to walk alongside you with the same care and accountability as the program itself.

That’s why we built Twelve and Trade. To bridge that gap. To make sure men and women in recovery don’t just survive after treatment, but have the guidance, mentorship, and opportunities to truly rebuild their lives.”

 - Daniel Ross, 17 years of sobriety
